Project to invest in the potential of scholarship recipients:
In line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's efforts to build a higher education system in Iraq that meets quality standards and academic accreditation criteria, and to leverage the expertise of scholarship recipients across all ministry departments, a project was launched to invest in the capabilities of scholarship recipients in Iraqi universities. The project aims to develop Iraqi universities to a level that elevates them to international standards and meets the needs of the labor market and society.
♦ Vision:-
Developing the higher education sector in Iraq by utilizing returning scholarship recipients who have obtained higher degrees from prestigious international universities by providing consultations and suggestions to university leaders on the one hand, and teaching staff and students on the other.
♦ Objectives:-
Developing undergraduate and graduate curricula to reduce the gap between the education sector and the labor market.
Promoting universities locally and internationally.
Proposing quality training courses for university staff.
Connecting universities locally and internationally by establishing academic networks inside and outside Iraq.
Developing scientific research, publishing, and Iraqi knowledge.
Maximizing the material resources of universities.
Entering local and international rankings.
Cultural, scientific and academic exchange with regional and global countries.
Proposing development projects that serve the community and the national strategy.
Presenting project models to serve the community.
Other projects aim to improve the quality of the higher education sector in Iraq.
Academic Subcommittee
Based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the sub-academic committee at the Iraqi University was formed to propose and follow up on the completion of projects and to submit reports on the completion rates to the central ministerial committee. It should be noted that the proposed projects can be submitted by faculty members, whether they are on scholarships or not.
University's mechanism for adopting proposed projects
Proposed projects should be sent to the Academic Subcommittee via the committee's email address, as outlined in the points listed below:
Fill out the proposed projects form, which can be accessed and downloaded by clicking on the box titled (Download Proposed Projects Form) located in the upper left corner of the window.
The form should be sent electronically to the university's academic committee via the following email address: ( [email protected] )
The sub-academic committee studies the proposed project in order to assess the benefit of its implementation at the university.
The proposed project form is returned to the entity that submitted the project if there are any comments from the sub-academic committee, and the submitting entity resends the proposed project to the committee after making the required modifications.
The university's academic subcommittee submits its recommendation on the project to the university president or to the university council for approval if the project requires powers higher than those of the university president.
The sub-academic committee monitors the work of the team implementing the project through the project completion schedule outlined in the proposed projects form.
The sub-academic committee sends monthly progress reports on the project, according to the schedule specified in the form, to the office of the Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs / Government Program Department
The university supports the proposed projects with all available resources, while granting privileges that meet the aspirations of the proposer.
