Head of the Centre's Statement
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at Al-Iraqia University was established in 2006. Since its foundation, it has played a significant and distinctive role in training and development to support and advance the community. The Center is one of the key channels for connecting with graduates and employees in government and private sector institutions to develop their skills, enhance their capabilities, and improve their performance by offering training courses, workshops, and specialized seminars in all scientific, humanitarian, and administrative fields, along with documenting participation by providing participants with certificates that can be used for practicing a certain profession or for academic promotion. The Center acts as a link between the university and the community, addressing labor market needs and continuously providing community members with updated knowledge and modern sciences by leveraging the university’s available expertise. The Center also plays a major and important role in solving the challenges graduates face in the professional world by utilizing the experience of university professors and offering specialized courses delivered to beneficiaries in modern and simplified scientific ways, all in support of development goals. We at the center's administration are looking forward to developing the center in line with government programs to keep up with everything modern, so it becomes a hub for spreading knowledge and sciences across various scientific and humanitarian fields.

Striving to update and disseminate knowledge of human resources in a way that serves the labor market.
Objectives:
- Developing professional skills by providing training programs and workshops in accordance with scientific developments.
- Providing educational and training programs that meet the needs of the community and contribute to its development.
- Improving the quality of education and providing sustainable opportunities for lifelong learning.
- The aim is to link the university to the job market by preparing and qualifying human resources in all scientific disciplines to keep pace with modern developments.
Scientific Methods to Achieve the center's goals…
To achieve its goals, the center relies on the following means:
- Strengthening relations with scientific bodies and circles inside and outside Iraq for the purpose of purposeful scientific and educational work and the exchange of experiences.
- Conducting extensive studies and research related to the daily lives of people in different professions.
- Organizing scientific, cultural and educational programs for different segments of society, as determined by the field of specialization and work.
- Organizing training, qualification and development courses in the various disciplines of the university.
- Holding conferences, seminars and workshops to strengthen intellectual ties between workers and professionals in the field of specialization.
- Contributing to national, Arab and international seminars and conferences related to continuing education.
Center Structure:
Objectives:
- It aims to provide training opportunities for members in the cognitive and administrative fields.
- Developing university education and the educational environment, and qualifying teaching and administrative staff in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation.
- Raising the educational and training level and keeping pace with the development taking place.
Duties:
Attention to human resources through the establishment of various training courses for employees of all ministries and state institutions, and the public and private sectors.
Tasks:
Spreading cultural awareness in society by raising the scientific and intellectual capabilities of different segments of society and increasing their ability to bridge the gap of ignorance and backwardness in society.
The administrative division is considered one of the important divisions in the department and reports directly to the director of the center.
رؤية الشعبة الإدارية:-
تطمح الشعبة الإدارية لتكن واحدة من أهم الشعب في القسم وإعداد كادر متقدم وقادر على القيام بكل ما يوكل إليه من مهام وواجبات والارتفاع بمستوى القسم إلى أعلى الدرجات لتكون في الصف الأول ضمن تشكيلات القسم.
Department Objectives:
- انجاز المعاملات كافة الخاصة بشؤون التدريسيين والفنيين والإداريين ضمن السقف الزمني.
- انجاز المعاملات كافة الخاصة بإدارة القسم.
- Raising the level of management to match the level of quality.
- Providing the best services to the educated segment in higher education.
Tasks and duties:
- The provisions of the Civil Service Law No. 24 of 1960 and its amendments must be observed when taking actions related to the affairs of affiliates, as well as the provisions of the Unified Retirement Law No. 9 of 2014, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Law No. 40 of 1988 as amended, and the rest of the laws, regulations and instructions related to the civil service.
- Supervising the work performance of the administrative division staff, monitoring their activities, and distributing tasks according to the units.
- Identify weaknesses and address them.
- Evaluate the performance of the employees in the division and submit it to the relevant authorities after discussing their performance with the members.
- Membership in committees related to the work of the division.
- Recommending the establishment of the necessary training seminars for the members of the division.
Objectives:
The Development Division aims to enrich the scientific and professional reality of employees through courses held in other departments and ministries, as it is the link between university employees and other departments and ministries, and to develop and update employee performance evaluation systems and improve employee performance levels.
Duties:
The duties of the Development Division are to complete the courses held in other departments and ministries for all university employees through circulars and to follow up on employee nominations for the purpose of sending them to the ministries holding the courses.
Tasks:
Regularly follow up on circulars and employee nominations, send them to the relevant authority as quickly as possible, and provide the necessary facilities to all work teams responsible for implementing quality.

Duties:
- التقيد بالتوجيهات واللوائح الحكومية الخاصة بالإعلام والاتصال.

- احترامالقوانينالنشر، حقوق الملكية الفكرية، الخصوصية، وحماية البيانات.
Tasks:
- إعداد ونشر الأخبار
- التغطية الإعلامية من خلال تصوير الفعاليات والاجتماعات.و توثيق أنشطة المؤسسة فوتوغرافياً
- إدارة منصات التواصل الاجتماعيالنشر اليومي.
A unit concerned with developing teaching skills for holders of higher degrees (master's and doctorate) and updating teaching methods to align with the requirements of blended learning, which combines in-person and online education, aims to improve learning quality and make it easier for students to access academic content in modern and interactive ways.
Objectives:
- Developing skills for postgraduate degree holders and improving the efficiency of faculty members in using electronic tools and educational platforms.
- Enhancing the quality of blended learning and ensuring the delivery of comprehensive educational content that combines in-person interaction with e-learning.
- Updating teaching methods
- Supporting digital transformation in education and implementing national strategies for the shift towards e-learning and blended learning.
- Providing a flexible learning environment
- Making content accessible and providing learners with a variety of learning options.
Duties:
- Following the Ministry of Education's guidelines and official instructions on e-learning and blended learning.
- Content Quality Assurance
- Following up on the implementation of the study plan and ensuring teachers adhere to the in-person and online teaching plans.
- Supporting teachers technically and technologically
Tasks:
- Faculty training
- Developing educational materials
- Following up on the quality of online lectures and analyzing student interaction and their results.
- Electronic content management and digital organization.
وحدة متخصصة تُعنى بمتابعة أهلية أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية والتأكد من استيفائهم لمتطلبات صلاحية التدريس الأكاديمية والمهنية وفق تعليمات وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي ، وبما يضمن جودة الأداء داخل القاعات الدراسية.
Objectives:
- ضمان كفاءة التدريسيين
- رفع مستوى جودة التعليم وتحسين الأداء الجامعي عبر متابعة تحديث مهارات الكادر التدريسي.
- تعزيز أساليب التدريس الحديثة.
Duties:
- الالتزام بالتعليمات الوزارية تطبيق تعليمات صلاحية التدريس الرسمية.
- متابعة ملفات التدريسيين و التحقق من اكتمال المستمسكات والوثائق الخاصة بصلاحية التدريس.
- تقييم الجاهزية التدريسية.
Tasks:
- تقييم الأداء عبر المحاضرات النموذجية
- استقبال طلبات التدريسيين الجدد لإجراء محاضرة نموذجية و تنسيق حضور اللجنة المختصة.
- تنظيم كتب رسمية بمنح صلاحية التدريس أو التوصية باستكمال متطلبات معينة.
