The Scientific Affairs Department is considered one of the important departments in the university, due to its pivotal role in organizing and developing scientific and research activities, and following up on the affairs of lecturers and researchers, in line with the university’s vision and mission, as well as the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in improving the quality of higher education and promoting rigorous scientific research. The department is keen to establish a culture of scientific research as a fundamental pillar in building the university and enhancing its academic standing, by supporting lecturers in their research careers and encouraging publication in reputable scientific journals and internationally recognized databases. It also works on following up on study leave files for lecturers and providing the necessary administrative support, which contributes to developing their academic competencies and supplying the university with advanced expertise. In addition, the department is concerned with organizing and following up on scientific seminars and conferences, and encouraging participation in them, as important platforms for exchanging knowledge and expertise and enhancing scientific communication. In line with the university’s role in serving society, the department supports community-based studies that address real-life issues, and seeks to strengthen the linkage between scientific research and societal needs, as well as supporting applied studies and scientific activities that contribute to solving community problems and reinforcing the university’s role in national development. The Scientific Affairs Department reaffirms its commitment to continuously developing work mechanisms, enhancing digital transformation in managing scientific activities, improving efficiency, and working in a team spirit to serve the university.
