The vision of the Scientific Affairs Department at the Iraqi University is to achieve excellence and leadership in scientific research and innovation at the university level. Its mission is to provide a supportive academic and research environment, encourage distinguished scientific output, develop the capacities of researchers and faculty members, and facilitate the marketing of scientific products. Its main objectives include strengthening and advancing scientific research, supporting scientific publishing activities, promoting internal and external scientific cooperation, developing academic staff through training and research sabbaticals, fostering outstanding intellectual output, and enhancing researchers’ capabilities to keep pace with scientific developments.

To provide a supportive research environment by creating a stimulating and appropriate academic and research atmosphere for researchers and faculty members at the university, while supporting scientific output. The department also seeks to enhance and develop the university’s distinguished scientific production, build and strengthen the capacities of academic and research staff across various research fields, in addition to promoting innovation, spreading a culture of creativity, and encouraging outstanding scientific activities within the academic community.
