The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department was established in 2008. It is administratively linked, according to the university structure, to the President of the University (Chair of the Quality Assurance Council). It consists of four administrative divisions, as shown in the organizational chart, in addition to other divisions located in the university’s colleges under the name “Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division,” which are affiliated with this department.

The Quality Assurance Department seeks to organize activities that serve as a gateway to achieving scientific excellence, distinction, and innovation on a global level.
Mission:
Adopting quality standards and continuous improvement to achieve academic accreditation.
Objectives:
1-Enhancing community confidence in the competence of our university graduates.
2-Adopting international standards in academic accreditation to ensure and improve the quality of education.
3-Developing human resources and enhancing their capabilities to support the university’s administrative levels.
4-Adopting community participation to achieve excellence and innovation.
5-Developing resources by promoting and implementing the concepts of the productive university.
Tasks:
The main tasks of the four administrative divisions and the Rankings Unit are summarized as follows:
1-Promoting a culture of quality assurance and academic accreditation throughout the university and its affiliated institutions.
2- Coordinating with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding developments in quality assurance and academic accreditation.
3- Implementing and monitoring institutional and programmatic accreditation across the university and its formations.
4- Preparing periodic reports on the implementation of institutional and programmatic accreditation.
5- Preparing periodic reports on quality improvement and continuous improvement.
6- Following up on developments in quality assurance and academic accreditation.
7- Communicating with organizations and companies involved in the training, development, and accreditation of international academic programs.
8- Establishing cooperation with local, Arab, and international institutions in the fields of quality assurance and academic accreditation.
9- Ensuring participation in the various internal and external activities organized by the university.
10- Documenting the institutional and programmatic accreditation standards of the university and its formations.
1- Evaluating the performance of the university's departments and colleges, and undertaking the necessary measures to assess the level and quality of performance.
2- Establishing a database for all university activities and its formations, and monitoring the development of the educational process.
3- Providing assistance, consultation, and guidance to all Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation divisions within the university's colleges and formations regarding programs aimed at improving performance.
4- Conducting electronic performance evaluation for all university formations and submitting the required reports.
5- Monitoring field evaluation outcomes in relation to labor market needs, and submitting the necessary recommendations to the University President while informing the Ministry.
6- Preparing the final annual performance reports for the university's staff and its formations.
7- Preparing periodic reports on the division's activities and annual achievement rates, and submitting them to the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance.
8- Performing any other tasks assigned to the division by the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance to support the university performance evaluation process.
1-Promoting a culture of quality and performance evaluation within the university and its formations. 2-Organizing training and development courses and workshops for staff working in performance evaluation and quality assurance, aiming to achieve institutional and programmatic academic accreditation. 3- Participating in and holding seminars and periodic meetings, and keeping up with the latest developments and topics presented in global conferences in the field of quality assurance and university performance, as well as workshops. 4-Providing support to quality assurance and university performance units in the university formations to implement their systems and programs. 5-Coordinating between the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation divisions and the University Computer and Internet Department to publish activities, contributions, and research on the university’s official website. 6-Any other tasks assigned to the division by the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the university presidency.
1-Monitoring and auditing laboratory specifications in accordance with the requirements of approved standard specifications.
2-Determining the technical specifications of devices and equipment, coding them, and documenting their data in coordination with laboratory supervisors, as well as with laboratories within the university and other universities.
3-Monitoring the implementation of calibration programs for devices and equipment in coordination with relevant entities.
4-Coordinating the organization of scheduled training courses for laboratory staff according to their specializations, in line with international standards and national criteria.
5- Coordinating with the Laboratory Accreditation Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, to improve laboratory performance and achieve laboratory accreditation by the relevant competent bodies.
6- Working to implement the procedures and requirements specified by the Laboratory Accreditation Team during field evaluations.
7- Coordinating with relevant local and international entities to organize specialized training courses for the division's staff on laboratory accreditation auditing and quality assessment programs.
8- Conducting effective internal audits of laboratories through self-assessment to evaluate the efficiency of laboratory testing on a regular basis, and submitting the necessary reports to the university administration.
1-Preparing the university to enter global rankings and following up on all developments related to institutional and program accreditation.
2-Standardizing the required data for inclusion in the mentioned rankings.
3-Preparing periodic reports on global rankings and the extent of their implementation at the university, and presenting them to the University Quality Council.
4-Monitoring the university’s entry into global rankings.
5-Promoting awareness of the importance of the university’s inclusion in global rankings.
6-Following up on regular and electronic correspondence between the university and various relevant entities regarding global rankings.
